Computex Taipei 2025 will be held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center tomorrow. A global press conference was held today. COMPUTEX 2025, with its unique advantages in semiconductors, innovation and advanced computing, has become a global AI weathervane indicator event.

COMPUTEX 2025 brings together 1,400 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions, using 4,800 booths. This year, COMPUTEX will continue to lead the global technology ecosystem and respond to the advent of the AI economy. This year, with "AI Next" as the main theme, it focuses on the three major themes of "intelligent computing and robots", "next-generation technology" and "future mobility", closely following the global AI technology innovation.

Huang Zhifang said that AI is changing the industry landscape at an astonishing speed, from algorithm breakthroughs to a significant reduction in application barriers, driving the overall transformation of the industry. With its world-leading semiconductor strength and innovative energy, Taiwan is playing a key role in promoting this wave of AI innovation. COMPUTEX 2025 will focus on AI and robots, next-generation technology and smart mobility to create innovation momentum for the next decade.

Huang Zhifang pointed out that at a time when the world is full of uncertainty, the whole world is asking what will happen next? But something more revolutionary is happening. This year, AI itself is undergoing a revolution. Breakthroughs in open source technology have greatly reduced the cost of AI and reshaped the entire industry through new applications. AI is crossing the Turing boundary, representing the dividing line between humans and machines.

Huang Zhifang shared that COMPUTEX Keynote brought together Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, Foxconn Chairman Liu Yangwei, MediaTek Vice Chairman and CEO Cai Lixing, NXP Executive Vice President Jens Hinrichsen, etc., to discuss communications, automotive, smart manufacturing and edge computing with AI as the core, bringing the latest technological breakthroughs and guiding the development direction of the global industry.

Huang Zhifang explained that COMPUTEX Forum focuses on the development of the AI ecosystem. The morning session invited experts from leading companies such as NVIDIA, Google DeepMind, Texas Instruments, and Advantech to analyze the industry opportunities of "AI robots and edge computing applications" and how to drive the industry.

Huang Zhifang emphasized that in the afternoon session, Arm, Intel, Adobe, and Yihua Computer will share innovative applications and practical experience of "Generative AI Re-Evolution", and bp Castrol, Infineon, Seagate, Schneider, and Compal will reveal how to create efficient and energy-saving "AI Data Center Solutions" to meet the challenges of increasing AI computing power and data processing needs.

Taipei Computer Association Chairman Peng Shuanglang said that Taiwan has three major advantages in the AI era, including a world-class semiconductor supply chain, leading software and hardware integration capabilities, and practical solutions to cope with an aging population and labor shortages, demonstrating strong industry resilience, and COMPUTEX 2025 plays a key role in welcoming the AI wave.

According to Gartner's forecast, global spending on generative AI will reach $644 billion in 2025. Industry players continue to invest billions of dollars each year to drive the growth of the scale, performance and reliability of generative AI models. AI will also become a built-in standard function of future consumer electronics.
