PCB, AI, silicon photonics and military industries are advancing in parallel, and Tai Optoelectronics and others continue to set sky-high prices.

The Taiwan Stock Exchange hit a record high today, reaching 24,515.65 points during intraday trading and closing at 24,482.52, up 148.04 points. Printed circuit boards (PCBs), artificial intelligence (AI), silicon photonics (CPO), and defense sectors continued to dominate the market, with companies including Formosa Optoelectronics, Formosa Optoelectronics, and Thunder Tiger reaching new highs.

As material shortages continue to escalate, the PCB sector continued to attract market capital today, with companies including High-Tech, Dingying, Jiandian, Taiwan Glass, Jinju, Taiwan Yao, and Lianmao hitting their daily limit.

Taiwan Glass reached NT$37.4, a nearly four-year high; Dingying reached NT$110.5, approaching its all-time high of NT$112; Jiandian reached NT$101, an 18-year high. Taiyao, Hi-Tech, and Jinju reached record highs of NT$348.5, NT$313.5, and NT$184.5, respectively.

PCB stocks such as Tai Optoelectronics, Golden Image Electronics, Fuchs, and Zhen Ding-KY also hit record highs. Tai Optoelectronics reached an intraday high of NT$1,310 and closed at NT$1,305, up NT$25; Golden Image Electronics reached an intraday high of NT$481 and closed at NT$478.5, up NT$13; Fuchs reached an intraday high of NT$83.1 and closed at NT$80.9, up NT$2; and Zhen Ding-KY reached an intraday high of NT$172.5 and closed at NT$170, up NT$9.

AI-related stocks, such as robotics and cooling, also performed well, driven by an influx of market funds. Guangming hit its daily limit, reaching NT$110; Jiance also hit its daily limit, reaching NT$1,620, approaching its all-time high of NT$1,625. Chuanhu and Chihhong hit new all-time highs. Chuanhu's intraday price reached NT$3,200 and closed at NT$3,180, up NT$50; Chihhong's intraday price reached NT$1,170 and closed at NT$1,145, up NT$75.

With the promising future prospects of silicon photonics, Win Semiconductors and Guangsheng Electronics saw their share prices rise simultaneously. Win Semiconductors hit its daily limit, reaching NT$97.1; Guangsheng Electronics hit a new all-time high, reaching NT$874 and closing at NT$850, up NT$53.

The military industry also performed well today. Baoyi, Thunder Tiger, and Chunghwa Optoelectronics hit their daily limit. Baoyi reached NT$53.6; Thunder Tiger climbed to NT$131, setting a new all-time high; Chunghwa Optoelectronics reclaimed the NT$100 mark, closing at NT$100.5; and Evergreen Aerospace reached NT$186 and closed at NT$183, both setting new all-time highs.

There are currently 24 "high-priced" stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, most of which rose today. However, the top-performing stocks, Xinhua and Shixin-KY, were relatively weak, closing at NT$5,035 and NT$4,230, respectively, down NT$195 and NT$75. TradeLink-KY recently broke through the NT$1,000 mark, reaching NT$1,010, and has been consolidating at a high level recently, closing at NT$977 today, poised to challenge the NT$1,000 mark again. Further growth in the number of "high-priced" stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange is possible.
