WSTS: Global semiconductor revenue to grow by 26.3% in 2026, approaching $1 trillion.

The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) released its latest global semiconductor market forecast report, predicting that global semiconductor revenue will grow by 22.5% in 2025 and another 26.3% in 2026, approaching the $1 trillion mark.
WSTS estimates that global semiconductor revenue will reach $772 billion in 2025, nearly $45 billion higher than previous estimates, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.5%. This growth is mainly driven by strong demand in the logic and memory markets from artificial intelligence applications and data center infrastructure.
Logic IC revenue is expected to grow by 37.1% in 2025, the largest increase among product categories, followed by memory revenue growth of 27.8%, sensor revenue growth of 10.4%, microprocessor revenue growth of 7.9%, analog IC revenue growth of 7.5%, and optoelectronic component revenue growth of 3.7%. Due to weak demand in the automotive sector, discrete component revenue is likely to decline by 0.4%.
Revenue in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions is expected to grow by 29.1% and 24.9% respectively, primarily driven by strong growth in logic ICs and memory. European revenue is projected to grow by 5.6%, while Japanese revenue is expected to decline by 4.1%.
Looking ahead to 2026, WSTS anticipates global semiconductor revenue will grow by another 26.3% to reach US$975 billion, with memory and logic ICs remaining the main growth drivers, growing by 39.4% and 32.1% respectively. The Americas and Asia Pacific regions are expected to be the strongest growing regions, growing by 34.4% and 24.9% respectively.
