SIA: Semiconductor sales rose 27.2% year-on-year in October, driven by the Americas and Asia Pacific.

According to statistics from the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), global semiconductor sales in October reached $72.7 billion, a 4.7% increase month-over-month and a 27.2% increase year-over-year, with the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions being the main drivers.
The SIA pointed out that semiconductor sales in the Americas increased by 59.6% year-over-year and 3.5% month-over-month in October, while sales in the Asia-Pacific region increased by 24.8% year-over-year and 7.2% month-over-month, propelling the continued growth of global semiconductor sales in October.
Semiconductor sales in China increased by 18.5% year-over-year and 4.4% month-over-month in October, sales in Europe increased by 8.3% year-over-year and 3.5% month-over-month, while sales in Japan decreased by 10% year-over-year and increased by 0.6% month-over-month.
According to the latest global semiconductor market forecast report from the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS), the SIA predicts that global semiconductor revenue will reach US$772.2 billion in 2025, a 22.5% increase, and further climb to US$975.4 billion in 2026, approaching the US$1 trillion mark.
