Demand for artificial intelligence (AI) remains strong. The Ministry of Economic Affairs announced today that February export orders reached US$63.88 billion, a 23.8% year-on-year increase, marking the 13th consecutive month of growth. Cumulative export orders for the first two months of this year reached US$140.78 billion, a record high for the same period, representing a 41.3% year-on-year increase.

By product category, continued demand for emerging technology applications drove growth in orders for information and communication products and electronic products, with combined year-on-year increases of 76.8% and 50.7% respectively in January and February. Optical equipment orders saw steady growth due to continued investment in the semiconductor industry, boosting orders for optical inspection and measurement equipment, with a combined year-on-year increase of 2.1% in January and February.
