According to a report by Chinese media, IDC predicts that global semiconductor revenue will reach $1.29 trillion this year, a year-on-year increase of 52.8%; by 2030, the entire industry's revenue will grow to $1.75 trillion.

IDC points out that with the accelerated development of AI, memory is transforming from a cyclical product into a key strategic asset. It predicts that total revenue in this sector will grow from $226 billion in 2025 to $594.7 billion this year (+163%), and reach $790.4 billion in 2027 (+33%). This is not just a recovery cycle; it reflects a market undergoing structural repricing.

The changes are most significant in the DRAM sector. IDC predicts that DRAM revenue will reach $418.6 billion this year, a year-on-year increase of 177%; NAND flash memory revenue will reach $174.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 138.5%. Furthermore, IDC believes that substantial new HBM supply will not enter the market until the end of this year.
