TSMC has expanded its investment in the United States, sparking a new wave of semiconductor investment. The best semiconductor equipment manufacturers came to the Taipei International Machine Tool Show, including UC, Tongtai (4526), Baide, Takizawa, Hoda, Hiwin, and Gaofeng. Many domestic and foreign semiconductor supply chain buyers flocked to the booths in the past two days, and the order scale continued to expand. The industry estimates that potential orders will challenge NT$100 billion.
TSMC announced an additional $100 billion investment in the United States, which is expected to drive a new wave of supply chain movement, including semiconductor wafer manufacturing, consumables processing, packaging and testing equipment, and key components, and market opportunities are expected.
The supply chains of global semiconductor giants such as ASML of the Netherlands, AMAT of the United States, TSMC, and ASE continue to expand their assembly equipment supply chains. Taiwanese machine tool manufacturers such as UC, Tongtai, Baide, Hoda, Takizawa, Hiwin, and Gofeng have joined the new wave of semiconductor equipment partners and have initially obtained orders for everything from wafer grinding and consumables processing to packaging and testing.
All industry players are optimistic that the order volume this year is expected to grow compared to the past. The industry estimates that the potential order volume is poised to challenge 100 billion yuan.
The Friend-Chia Group, one of the world's top three machine tool manufacturing groups, has announced that it will increase its presence in the U.S. and Taiwan semiconductor markets, and for the first time exhibited high-precision grinding machines, grinders, and multi-functional vertical machining centers that can be used for semiconductor wafer grinding at the Taipei Machine Tool Show. YJ revealed that today (5th) four or five semiconductor supply chain companies have made appointments to visit the exhibition site to inquire about and place orders.
Dongtai and Baide jointly set up an exhibition for the first time, and invited relevant customers to visit the exhibition site and Luke factory to visit the exhibition and negotiate orders.
Takizawa's customized equipment is seizing business opportunities in semiconductor connectors, grinding rings, vacuum chambers and other material-consumable processing equipment.
Takizawa Technology exhibited products such as Swiss-type lathes and milling machines. Yesterday, ten grinding ring processing equipment were sold in one go, with a total value of more than NT$20 million. During the two-day exhibition, the total order value has exceeded NT$70 million. Another six equipment worth about NT$15 million are under negotiation. It is estimated that the order value during this year's exhibition will challenge NT$300 million.
Hoda and its subsidiary Gaofeng are fully committed to entering the advanced packaging and testing equipment industry. The first prototype will be released soon, attracting many buyers' inquiries.
Hiwin Group exhibited high-performance direct-drive motors, which are matched with high-precision servo drives to achieve nanometer-level positioning, effectively ensuring the chip yield, and attracted great attention from the market.
The ultra-thin, large-hollow precision direct-drive motor developed by Da-Yin Microsystems has been favored by major semiconductor AI chip processing equipment manufacturers.
